Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has begun a fresh exercise to determine the tax payment status of tour operators.
In a statement Monday July 9, the taxman noted that the exercise started July 4, 2018.
“All tour operators are urged to cooperate with the assigned officials by adhering to existing laws in order for the exercise to be effective,” reads part of the public notice issued by the Commissioner for Domestic Revenue at the TRA headquarters.
TRA is conducting the exercise at all tourists’ entrance points in collaboration with other government institutions as well as industry stakeholders, according to the notice.
