Vernova donates food supplies to children centre

Dar es Salaam. Employees of GE Vernova Gas Power have donated food supplies to Tanzania’s SOS Children's Village as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Country manager of GE Vernova International LLC Tanzania, Mr Gilman Kasiga, said that the employees from Sub-Saharan Africa aimed to support the centre.

“This meeting served as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of sustainability and social responsibility,” said Mr Kasiga.

He also noted that the team’s visit to the SOS Village was a gesture of their commitment to creating a better world for future generations.

“By interacting with the staff and learning about the village's mission, they gained firsthand insights into the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable individuals.

“This meeting was a profound exploration of how corporate entities can contribute meaningfully to societal well-being,” he said.
