Mwinyi names new Zanzibar electoral commission head

Unguja. Zanzibar’s President Hussein Mwinyi, has on Wednesday August 24, 2023 appointed seven members of the Zanzibar Electoral Commission (ZEC).
In a statement that was released the Chief Secretary of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Government,, Ms Zena Said, Judge George Joseph Kazi has been appointed the ZEC chairman.
The newly appointed members are Judge Aziza Iddi Suwedi, Idrisa Haji Jecha, and Juma Haji Ussi, the list also includes Halima Mohamed Said, Ayoub Bakar Hamad and Awadh Ali Said.
Their newly appointed commissioners will be sworn in on Monday August 28, 2023 at the Zanzibar State House
