Magufuli assigns Kashililah, Mangu new posts

Announcing the appointments at State House, Chief Secretary John Kijazi said while Dr Kashililah has been appointed deputy permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture, Mr Mangu now becomes an envoy.

Dar es Salaam. The former Clerk of the National Assembly, Dr Thomas Kashililah, and former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Ernest Mangu, have been assigned new tasks in the Thursday, October 26, appointments made by President John Magufuli.

Announcing the appointments at State House, Chief Secretary John Kijazi said while Dr Kashililah has been appointed deputy permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture, Mr Mangu now becomes an envoy.

Mr Kijazi’s video clip circulated to media outlets by the Directorate of Presidential Communications had it that the former permanent secretary in the ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Aziz Mlima, has also been appointed as an envoy.

“The work stations for the two envoys will be announced on a later date,” said Mr Kijazi.

According to announced appointment, President Magufuli has appointed Arumeru district commissioner Alexander Mnyeti the new RC for Manyara Region as Nanyumbu DC Joachim Wangabo becomes the new Rukwa regional commissioner.

At the same time, the video clip showed, Korogwe DC Robert Gabriel becomes the new boss for Geita Region.

The three replaced Mr Joel Bendera (Manyara), Mr Ezekiel Kyunga (Geita) and Mr Zelothe Stephen (Rukwa) who are retiring.

The former deputy Finance minister in the fourth phase government, Mr Adam Malima, has been appointed Mara regional commissioner, while Dodoma Urban DC Christine Mndeme becomes the new Dodoma RC.

On the list, Hai DC Gelasius Byakanwa becomes the new Mtwara regional commissioner.

According to State House announcement, Mara RC Dr Charles Mlingwa, Dodoma RC Jordan Rugumbana and Mtwara RC Halima Dendego have been dropped from the list.

Meanwhile, President Magufuli has appointed seven new permanent secretaries and transferred four others.
