Women and dress code

What you need to know:

Most dress codes unfairly target and objectify women. When you visit some institutions as far as strict dress code is concerned, one can’t help but notice very sexist and downgrading remarks to women.

It is so interesting that the society usually insists that women should cover up to avoid leading men into temptation. The society is promoting the idea that the female body should be hidden from snooping eyes of men. Men on the other hand should freely wear what they feel like.

Men can these days walk with their underwear exposed and the society keeps mum on this. Those who set these dress codes are silent about men and only point fingers at women. This sets the wrong notion that women should be blamed for male darting eyes.

This gives women and even young girls the impression that their bodies are simply sexual objects.

Treating women as objects of sexual desire by setting up dress codes should stop.
