Mwanza Quality Wine Ltd, emerged winner of the Top 100 campaign in 2019.
Having finished the 2018 campaign at position 23 they remained unshaken, instead they were motivated, and finally rose above the rest to clinch top spot.
Mwanza Quality Wine Ltd’s success should act as impetus to other mid-sized companies seeking to leave their marks on the campaign.
After Mwanza Quality Wines Ltd’s night to remember, The Citizen spoke to the management over the thrilling experience of the campaign and the work they are doing at the company.
You are the first winner of the 2019 Top 100 Mid-sized companies’ survey, Congratulations!! How was the feeling being announced as first winner? Is it something that you expected?
It was not an expected outcome, but it is amazing to be recognized for all the hard work, commitment and dedications to the craft.
What was the secret behind this historical victory?
Consistency, and being focus-oriented. Strategic expansions and innovativeness (delivering quality product and services).
What does this victory mean to you?
It means motivation to keep going and has shown that teamwork is very important for the growth of an organization. It also means initiating a sustainability plan to maintain our organizational goals. It also means that there is still room for improvements.
Who was the strongest opponent that had you worried?
To be one of Top 100 alone is a big achievement, I saw all the other contestants as winners. I congratulate all companies entered into Top 100 and I can say we are all winners.
How is this experience going to help you shape your company?
Great exposure is always an opportunity. Momentum or motivation to continue improving in terms of products and delivering amazing customer experience.
Are you going to pull out of the campaign after this achievement or keep coming back?
Hope to use this platform or achievement to make strides for joining 101 club and the Billionaire’s Club.
What lesson have you learnt from the survey? And how are you going to encompass that lesson into your operations?
I loved the professionalism in every area of our business, growth, financial stability, compliance and human resource.
What is the big difference between Top 100 and other events?
Not to disclose position up to final announcement this is amazing experience. To be in number one position and not to be notified till the last minute is a life time experience (I liked it).
What areas do you think require improvements?
More education to stakeholders about this important survey is needed. Secondly, organizers and sponsors should try to see how best they can work with Top 100 companies after event.
