Dar es Salaam. Azania Bank’s strong focus on digital innovation has earned it top recognition at this year’s Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), where it was named Best Exhibitor in the financial sector and second overall among all participants.

The bank showcased a range of enhanced digital platforms, including WhatsApp Banking, Internet Banking, Azania Wakala, and Mobile Banking, under its recently upgraded Azania Digital suite, launched earlier this year.

Managing director, Ms Esther Mang’enya, said the bank aligned its exhibition with the 2025 Sabasaba sub-theme More Digital, aiming to demonstrate how its technology-driven services are transforming banking experiences for businesses and individuals alike.

“We used this year’s platform to highlight how digital solutions can boost efficiency, accessibility, and financial inclusion,” she said.

The awards were presented by Zanzibar President Dr Hussein Mwinyi, who toured the bank’s pavilion during his visit to the trade fair.

Organised annually by the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), Sabasaba attracts exhibitors from across sectors and countries, with a growing emphasis on innovation and technology.
