Rose Muhando ‘knows nothing’ about her exorcism video
What you need to know:
Rose Muhando, however, has been on the record – several times – refuting claims linking her to drug and substance abuse.
Kenyan gospel singer Anastacia Mukabwa, who featured Rose Muhando’s “Kiatu Kivue” song, has revealed that her friend, Ms Muhando, is unware that she was filmed being prayed for at Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church.
The video of Ms Muhando rolling on the ground and screaming while being “rid of demons” in the Nairobi church, went viral, prompting online users to question her health and mental stability.
And now, Ms Mukabwa claims by the time that video was circulating online on November 20, Rose Muhando had already been admitted to hospital until today, she “remains unaware of the video, which subjected her to online pity, scrutiny and speculations of drug abuse”.
Rose Muhando, however, has been on the record – several times – refuting claims linking her to drug and substance abuse.
“Taking Rose Muhando to hospital wasn’t an easy task. God helped me. I had to use all means possible to ensure that she was taken to hospital. My main goal – from the word go – was that she gets specialised treatment in hospital,” Ms Mukabwa recently told Willy Tuva.
“I tried the much I could to ensure she got the much-needed medical attention. We got to hospital, even without her knowledge. By the time the exorcism video was being widely shared online, Rose was already admitted.
“What do you think would have happened if the video came out when she wasn’t under medical caregivers? Maybe, she would have killed herself. As I am speaking to you, she knows nothing about the video – at all! We are the ones talking extensively about that video, but to her, all is well,” said Ms Mukabwa, adding: “I am waiting for her to recover; and she will tell the whole truth about her story.”
Ms Mukabwa said both Kenyan and Tanzanian governments have joined hands to ensure Rose Muhando’s health is restored.
