“I have not released any song and I have no plans of releasing any in the near future because I can’t continue doing something that doesn’t pay me well,” she told Bongo 5. Maunda who was famed for songs such as ‘Nataka Niwe Wako’ and ‘Mapenzi Ya Wawili’ says currently she is concentrating on other ventures to keep paying her bills. “May be sometime next year I could come up with something for my fans who I believe still adore my music. Should this turn out to be the case, then Maunda will join a long list of female musicians who have been forced out of the industry due to unspecified reasons.
