Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), in collaboration with Azania Bank, has launched a state-of-the-art customer service centre in their joint effort to enhance efficiency and provide top-notch modern services.

Azania Bank funded the centre, which comes in the form of a premium lounge appearance, complete with modern technological equipment.

The official inauguration of the centre, which is located within the headquarters of the TIC headquarters in Dar es Salaam, was graced by the minister of State in the Office of the President (Planning and Investment), Prof Kitila Mkumbo.

Apart from accommodating TIC officials, the centre will also house officials from the Business Registration and Licensing Agency, Tanzania Revenue Authority, and Azania Bank to facilitate the smooth flow of investments and the business registration process, as well as the provision of financial services and advice.

“This will streamline the investor experience by allowing them to complete all procedures quickly,” Azania Bank said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, the Azania Bank’s funding of the centre was part of the agreement it signed with TIC in November last year. Among other issues, the agreement stipulates that the bank will also participate in enhancing the centre’s capacity to serve investors more effectively.

The other notable persons present at the event were the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Dr Tausi Kida and the TIC Executive Director, Mr Gilead Teri.
