Mbeya. Outgoing Speaker of the National Assembly and member of the CCM National Executive Committee, Dr Tulia Ackson, has urged residents of Rungwe District to safeguard their votes and elect presidential, parliamentary, and council candidates from the ruling CCM for the party to form the government.

Dr Tulia, who is also contesting the newly created Uyole parliamentary seat in the region, made the remarks on Saturday, September 6, 2025, as the chief guest at the campaign launch for Busokelo parliamentary candidate, Mr George Mwalwiba.

She said residents of Rungwe should support the efforts of the sixth-phase government by voting for presidential, parliamentary, and council candidates from CCM.

“On October 29, 2025, citizens, cast your votes for CCM candidates to enable them to form a government that will continue implementing the work already started to bring real development,” she said.

She highlighted that the sixth-phase government has delivered development and improved services in health, education, roads, and water, notably the over Sh119 billion major strategic Kiwira River water project.

“The people of Busokelo have seen the great and positive work done by the sixth-phase government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, particularly in health, education, and infrastructure development for roads and water,” she said.

Dr Tulia emphasised that voters should support these investments by casting their votes for CCM candidates at all levels.

She added that everyone has witnessed how President Hassan has directed the implementation of the election manifesto and five-year strategies; should she be given the mandate to serve.

Speaking to residents who attended the campaign launch at Lwangwa Primary School grounds in Busokelo District, Mr Mwalwiba called for cooperation from citizens to enable him to advance various development projects.

“First, I sincerely thank the people for trusting me and CCM. I will implement the election manifesto in practice to bring development across various sectors, including education, health, and others,” he said.

A resident of Kandete, Mr Frank Daudi,  said they have confidence in the Busokelo parliamentary candidate and stressed the community’s need for real development in different sectors to support the sixth-phase government’s efforts.
