A night of surprises at the SZIFF award night

The search for the cream of the SZIFF (Sinema Zetu International Festival) was finally concluded over the weekend with the awards ceremony at Mlimani City Hall in Dar es Salaam.

The awards were not short of controversy but at the end of the day the surprise package was in the categories of Best Actor and Actress that went to teen actors Rashid Msigani and Flora Kilombo from Iringa.

But when all was done the list was quite a thrilling one with actor Salim Ahmed aka Gabo continuing with his winning streak at the awards which is organized by Azam Media.

Best feature Film        - Siyabonga

Life Time Achievement        – King Majuto

Best Short Film            – Super Mama
