Alikiba praises Diamond as Chris Brown dances to Komasava

Finally, Alikiba, the biggest rival of Diamond Platnumz, has reacted to Diamond’s hit single ‘Komasava’ being danced to by American RnB star Chris Brown.

Speaking at the official launch of his radio station, Crown FM, Alikiba said that this move has greatly increased the value of Tanzanian music and that it’s good to see global stars appreciate Diamond’s work.

"It means they are listening to us, and it encourages us that our music is reaching places and being listened to a lot. It’s just that they haven’t found something that has moved them like ‘Komasava’ and other songs,” he said.

He added, “Maybe they are dancing but not filming themselves, but it’s a good thing and it also encourages others. Even I wish to see an international artist dancing to an Alikiba song.”

Alikiba continued that this move shows that Tanzanian artists are not doing foolish or crazy things but producing works that can be loved and appreciated internationally.

“It’s very pleasing; it shows that we are not doing nonsense. We are doing things that everyone can appreciate. Big up Diamond,” he said.

When asked about why he didn’t post about Chris Brown dancing to ‘Komasava,’ Alikiba said that supporting and giving a shout-out is a good thing, but posting is not a necessary step.

"I usually post songs by my fellow artists when they send them to me; I haven't been sent this one. If I decided to post it myself, it would create confusion because it’s not usual," said Alikiba.
