Blankets & Wine to feature Saida Karoli in star-studded lineup

Tanzanian music legend Saida Karoli is set to grace the stage at the upcoming Blankets & Wine Festival, joining South Africa's Mi Casa and Uganda's Joshua Baraka in a celebration of African music and culture.
The festival, scheduled for June 29, 2025, at Laureate Gardens, Nairobi, marking its 16th anniversary.
Karoli, renowned for her unique blend of Taarab, Bongo Flava, and traditional Tanzanian rhythms, will bring her rich musical heritage to the main stage.
She joins a diverse lineup that includes Mi Casa, known for their soulful house hits like "Jika", and Joshua Baraka, celebrated for his dancehall-infused sound.
The festival will also feature Kenyan artists such as Matata, Ssaru, Serro, Shad Mziki, and We Are Nubia, offering a mix of Gengetone, Afrobeats, soulful pop and contemporary Kenyan folk music.
Additionally, the Onja Onja Stage will showcase electronic African music with performances by Akoth Jumadi & Mr Lu, Coco Kahi, and DJs IV, Bune, Ghedi x Hiribae x Paps, and DJ Ite.
Beyond music, attendees can explore the Onja Onja Market, featuring Kenyan cuisine, fashion, crafts, and artisanal products.
The Family Zone offers a safe and engaging space for children, ensuring a family-friendly experience.
In a significant milestone, Blankets & Wine will also make its UK debut later this year, on September 6, 2025, at Lister Park in Bradford, as part of the UK/Kenya Season 2025, in collaboration with the British Council.
