15 confirmed dead in Arusha road accident involving a car carrying students

Dar es Salaam. At least 15 people, including three foreign nationals, have died and 12 others were critically injured in a gruesome road accident involving four vehicles in the Ngaramtoni area, Arusha region.

Arusha Regional Police Commander, Justine Masejo, said the accident occurred at 5pm and involved a suspected brake failure of a truck, which then collided with three other vehicles.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident was carrying students and teachers from the New Vision School of Arusha, and another was a public bus popularly known as Daladala.

Those injured are now receiving treatment at various hospitals, including Mt. Meru Referral Hospital and Selian Lutheran Hospital.
