The Finnish Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari was in Tanzania before he flew to Mozambique on Wednesday as part of his tour of the two nations with longstanding relations with the Scandinavian country. The tour aims, among other things, at strengthening Finland’s relations with its long-term partner countries as well as boosting commercial and economic cooperation. While in Dar es Salaam, The Citizen’s Alex Malanga, Khalifa Said and Samson Mfalila caught up with Mr Skinnari for an exclusive interview where he spoke about his country’s plan to move from aid as a means to help its development partner to trade and development cooperation.
