Magufuli sacks executive directors for Mbozi, Uyui districts

Dar es Salaam. President John Magufuli has revoked the appointment of Mbozi and Uyui District Executive Directors (DEDs) Mr Adelius Makwega and Ms Hadija Makuwani respectively.

A statement issued on Thursday, May 16, 2019, signed by presidential communications director Gerson Msigwa said the appointment of the two officials from councils located in Songwe and Tabora regions were revoked effectively from today.

No reasons were given for the decision while their replacements will be announced at a later date.

“The president announced the decision during a working meeting of regional commissioners, regional administrative secretaries, district commissioners, district administrative secretaries, directors of cities, municipalities, towns and districts held at the state house in Dar es Salaam,” reads part of the statement.
