Dar es Salaam. Civic United Front (CUF), national chairman, Professor Ibrahim Lipumba has been involved in a car accident in Lindi Region.
Lipumba was on his way to Kivinje for a political rally, when his car lost control and overturned on February 15.
Confirming the accident, the party’s director of communication, ideology and public relations, Mr Mohamed Ngulangwa said all occupants of the ill-fated car survived.
"He (Lipumba) was on his way from Njinjo to Kivinje, when his car overturned, but we are thankful that although the car was badly damaged, the people who were in the car are safe," he said.
Prof. Lipumba was travelling with six other in his car who suffered minor injuries and his condition is improving.
