Dodoma. The government has said it has started enjoying compensation funds from leading environmental polluting nations.

He was responding to a question by Mafinga Urban MP Cosato Chumi, who wanted to know when the country would start benefiting from the funds.
"We have started receiving the funds for climate change mitigation, restoring degraded land and for ensuring food security in drought areas," noted Mr Sima.
He revealed that the government had so far received $14.8 million from Global Environment Facility.
It has also received $5 million and $3.4 million from Adaption Fund and Least Developed Countries Fund.
According to him, the government is also expected to receive $125 million from Green Climate Change for a water project in Simiyu Region.
