TBS marks new year with expansion drive

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) has announced that it is starting the new year with a massive expansion drive to curb substandard products imported into the country and produced locally.

 Speaking at the press conference on Thursday evening, the TBS Director General, Mr Joseph Masikitiko said that from January this year TBS is set to open offices in Mbeya, Arusha and Mwanza, while opening more offices in the national boundaries of and Kilimanjaro International Airport.

 “In January this year we are going to open three zones with offices in Mbeya, Arusha and Mwanza for expansion of services. Other offices which are set to be opened include; at the national boundaries of Kasumulo, Tunduma and Mwanza port. We shall also open our office at Kilimanjaro Internationa Airport,” said Mr Masikitiko.
