World Bank to give Tanzania Sh2.3 trillion loan

Dodoma. The Board of Directors of the World Bank (WB) has approved concessional loans worth Sh2.3391 trillion to Tanzania for the implementation of four development projects.
This was said on Sunday, June 6, by the Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba while speaking to reporters a day before presenting his Ministry's budget for the financial year 2021/2022.
Dr. Mwigulu said the funds are meant for the improvement of rural roads and social opportunities (RISE) and a project to strengthen the teaching and training environment in higher education institutions.
Others are the project to help increase access to internet services (DTP) and the Project to expand the scope of access to quality and reliable services for Zanzibar Electricity (Zesta)
