“Whether they like it or not, true change will come from CCM,” said Mama Kikwete.
She was at Nyawaga Village in Tarime District during the handing over of the Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere Secondary School constructed by the Acacia North Mara Gold Mine.
“People have to think twice as to the type of change they want, especially if they want to remain in peace,” she said.
She said that CCM has done a commendable job in pushing forward national development. She said the kind of development done was mostly people-centred thus benefitting all.
She urged Tanzanians, especially the youth, to learn from other countries like Libya where its people we’re asking for change but they did the mistake by allowing change that brought them a negative impact.
According to Mama Salma some youth are only being used by some politicians who are only seeking to achieve their own goals.
She said most people were not there during the 1978 Uganda War and as such do not know the impact of warfare.
Speaking on education issues Mama Kikwete said that every child in Tanzania was entitled to get education regardless of their gender.
