Dar es Salaam. As Simba SC begin receiving applications and profiles from potential replacements for head coach Fadlu Davids, who has decided to join Morocco’s Raja Casablanca, no Tanzanian coach has yet come forward to seek the position.

The South African tactician bid farewell to the club as he prepares for his new challenge abroad.

Since the announcement that Fadlu will not return, coaches from both within and outside Africa have expressed interest in filling his shoes.

Yet, none of the local coaches have shown the initiative to apply.

A reliable source within Simba revealed that the process to appoint a new coach has already started, but local response has been absent.

“Applications have started coming in from various coaches, some with significant experience in African football, but we haven’t seen any submissions from Tanzanian coaches. Perhaps they may still come through,” said the source.

The source added that the search for a new coach will be conducted swiftly, given the limited time remaining before the return leg match against Gaborone United.

The team needs a manager in place well before the season ramps up.

Already Fadlu officially said goodbye, wishing the club continued success in the future.

“It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to Simba SC. From the moment I arrived, I felt the passion of this great club and the love of its incredible fans.

Together, we fought, celebrated, and grew stronger through every victory and challenge. My heartfelt thanks to President MO Dewji for his inspiring leadership, vision, and unwavering support.

“To the players: keep fighting, keep believing, and continue to wear the badge with pride.

“To the staff and technical team: thank you for your dedication and tireless efforts behind the scenes.

“To the Simba fans: you are the heartbeat of this club. Your voices, songs, and unwavering passion will remain in my memory.

Thank you for welcoming my family as your own. Simba will always have a place in my heart, and I wish the club success and trophies in the future. Thank you very much—forever Nguvu Moja,” Fadlu Davids said.

Shortly after the team returned from Botswana, Crescentius Magori, Chairman of Simba’s Board of Directors, urged fans to focus on the upcoming league match and the return leg against Gaborone United, assuring that the coaching issue will be resolved.

“Be patient; we will inform you in due time. For now, let us focus on the league match and the return leg. All Simba fans should unite and concentrate on these matches,” said Magori
