Chadema lawmakers counsel Nyalandu

Dar es Salaam. Chadema Members of Parliament (MPs) have commended former Singida North (MP), Lazaro Nyalandu for his decision to join the opposition, advising him to be ready to take part in political movements.

The MPs took to twitter, expressing their delight at Mr Nyalandu’s decision to resign from the ruling party CCM and announcing plans to join Chadema.

Mikumi MP, Joseph Haule, popularly known as ‘Professor Jay wrote, ‘’Congratulations brother @lazaronyalandu for the confidence and standing on what you believe!! Welcome to a camp of men... #speak your mind.”

For Bunda Urban MP, Ms Ester Bulaya, it was welcome hello message. She wrote, simply, ‘’Hello, Nyalandu…too happy.”

Kawe MP, Ms Halima Mdee cautioned Nyalandu that the opposition was not for the faint-hearted. She wrote, ‘’Hon. Nyalandu, I welcome you to Tanzania opposition politics! They are sweet to people with hard heart! They are hard to people with delicate heart.’’

Ms Mdee who doubles as Chadema Women’s wing chairperson went on, ‘’Hon. Nyalandu welcome to Chadema. I believe you will be strong to face hate, segregation and revenge politics facing the country.’’

Iringa Urban MP, Rev. Peter Msigwa looked at Nyalandu’s exit from the ruling party; in a media angle. He wrote, ‘’In journalism profession, news on Nyalandu would be referred as a scoop, who will be next?”

Tarime Rural MP, Mr John Heche says, ‘’Congratulations brother for refusing to be part of obsolete and divisive politics…full of hatred, revenge and intimidations.”

“You have made a hard decision but accurate. You have shown that humanity is more important than money and titles, our history will remember you well, welcome to this club where we fight for rights and equality,” he wrote.
