Dar es Salaam. StarTimes has said that it will improve local content by introducing several new Swahili entertaining sports programmes.

The pay-per-view TV operators have said that they will also look for more opportunities to invest in sports developments , especially football.

“Apart from putting a lot of efforts in improving the local content, we are also looking for opportunities so that we can invest in sports development, for example offering sponsorship to more than two football teams in the country,” said StarTimes Group Vice President, Michael Dearham.

He said that the viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy lots of sports contents as Startimes is now showcasing among World renowned football leagues, Germany’s Bundesliga’ and Italian League ‘Serie A” which are brought Live and Exclusive by StarTimes Sports Channels.
