Dar es Salaam. Precision Air Services (PW) has received an award for Brand Excellence in recognition to the role it plays in supporting the growth of Tanzania’s economy.
From a humble beginning 23 years, PW has defied the odds to remain afloat and in the process, it has helped to connect millions of tourists, businessmen and corporate bodies together.
In view of this, ‘The Purple Cow media Ltd’ recognised the airline in its 2015 episode of the Tanzania Leadership Award, which took recently at a five-star hotel in the city.
PW scooped the award ahead of Qatar and Ethiopia Airline which were in the same category, according to a statement, availed to the media by the airline’s management in the city yesterday.
Currently, PW flies to 10 local destinations across Tanzania. From its Julius Nyerere International Airport hub, the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange listed airline flies to Arusha, Bukoba, Kilimanjaro, Kigoma, Mtwara, Mwanza, Musoma, Tabora and Zanzibar.
According to managing director Sauda Rajab, the award is an indication that people do see and appreciate the airline’s services.
“At Precision Air, our commitment does not end at business interest only, it goes further into offering services to our beloved country. Our network is designed to open up the country and ensure that Tanzania is easily accessible, we believe that our services are a catalyst of change in our society,” she said.
Purple Cow Media arrived at the decision after conducting an extensive survey that saw it meeting the airline’s members of staff as well as guests and the clients.
