Majaliwa reports to the fire and rescue academy in Tanga

Jackson Majaliwa, a young man whose heroics is credited with the rescue of 24 passengers who were aboard the ill-fated Precision Air plane on Sunday November 6 will never be the same again.
Today, he was  received by the Fire and Rescue Service and is expected to start training at Chogo College located in Handeni district following instructions given by the Prime Minister on Monday.

In a statement that was released yesterday, November 7, 2022, by the Spokesman of the Fire and Rescue Service, Puyo Nzalayaimisi, Majaliwa was received by the service and will be given official fire, rescue and military training.

"The Chief of the Fire and Rescue Service, Commissioner General John Masunga informs the public that Majaliwa Jackson Samuel has been received by the Fire and Rescue Service. Thus, the instructions of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, have already been implemented,” reads the statement.

"Majaliwa is expected to start fire and rescue training as well as other related training at the Fire and Rescue Army Academy located in Chogo, Handeni district in Tanga region," explains the statement.
