Dar es Salaam. Young Africans (Yanga) fans can now secure their membership card through a partnership between the club and NBC Bank.

The card, dubbed NBC Yanga membership card, was launched yesterday in a brief ceremony held at the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel.

Speaking during the launching ceremony, NBC Bank’s acting Chief Executive Officer, Elvis Ndunguru, said they feel proud to enter a partnership with the historical club in the country, which deserves its members to have the modern internationally standardized membership payment card aiming to benefit the club.

He said that as the main sponsors of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, NBC Championship, and Youth League (NBC Youth League), their bank has continued to demonstrate its commitment to revolutionizing football in the country by investing in these three leagues and other areas.

Ndunguru said that the NBC Yanga membership card will ease transactions for Yanga members both locally and internationally. He mentioned that the card can be used to purchase tickets for NBC Premier League, FA, and CAF Champions League matches through the N-Card system.

“Yanga fans will no longer need to purchase separate N-Cards as these cards are already integrated into the N-Card system.

The card will greatly facilitate membership payments for Yanga fans, thereby increasing the club’s revenue and empowering it to pursue its priorities in administration and coaching bench improvement,” said Ndunguru.

He explained that the card is the only one on the market that offers the greatest convenience for both domestic and international payments.

Ndunguru also said Yanga fans can secure the card from all 67 branches and 60,000 agents in the country.

For his part, Yanga president Hersi Said described the launch of card as a revolution in the country’s football.
