Lipuli FC assistant coach Seleman Matola said they were well prepared ahead of the match and it was not easy due to the fact that Simba was among strongest teams in the league.
Matola said the players’ morale was high and victory was very important for them to continue with their mission to finish among the top teams in the league.
“We have talented players, who are ready for the match. We really want the victory as we want to finish among the top teams in the league, I know how to counter Simba players in the match because I have been in the team as a player and later as coach,” said Matola.
He said they were not under pressure in the encounter due to the fact that he had experienced players, who were very committed.
Lipuli will be under their captain Asante Kwasi, who is key in the defence line, while strikers will be under Malimi Busungu, Salum Machaku and Zubeir Ada, who played well in previous matches.
Simba SC head coach Joseph Omog is optimistic that they will continue shining in the league despite challenges from rival teams.
“I know it will be a tough match due to the status of the league now. Every team searches for the victory to improve the position in the league’s log. We trained well and believe we will win the encounter,” said Omog.
