Dar es Salaam. All roads will lead to the scenic Morogoro Gymkhana Golf Club from July 11 to 13 as the prestigious Morogoro Open returns with another thrilling edition featuring top amateur golfers from Tanzania and beyond.

Recognised under the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) system, the 2025 edition promises three days of high-level competition, with players of varying skill levels set to battle it out on the club’s lush and challenging greens.

According to the organisers, the main event for handicaps 0 to 9 will run across all three days, while the subsidiary category will take place over two days.

This format ensures both competitive balance and broader participation, allowing a wider pool of golfers to showcase their talent. The tournament remains one of the most anticipated fixtures in Tanzania’s golfing calendar and continues to attract a strong field of local and regional talent.

In a bid to promote youth engagement and develop the sport at grassroots level, junior golfers will enjoy free entry—a move that highlights the organisers’ commitment to nurturing the next generation of golf stars.

“There will be prizes for every category,” organisers confirmed, noting that awards will be presented across men’s, women’s, junior, and senior categories—ensuring an inclusive and rewarding experience for all participants.

The Morogoro Gymkhana Club, renowned for its well-maintained fairways and welcoming hospitality, is set to offer players and spectators a world-class golfing experience.
