Mo Dewji Foundation strengthens neonatal care at Muhimbili National Hospital

The Mo Dewji Foundation is a proud partner of the Neonatal Ward at Muhimbili National Hospital. For the fourth consecutive year.
The Mo Dewji Foundation supports mothers and children through the donation of life saving medical equipment to the Neonatal Ward, including trolleys, screens, digital blood pressure machines, oximeters and bedsheets.
Despite great advances in recent years, Tanzania still suffers from a high neonatal mortality rate. The neonatal ward at Muhimbili National Hospital offers care to Dar es Salaam’s more than 7 million accounted residents. The Ward lacks adequate funding to serve Tanzania’s growing population of mothers and children.

One of the pillars of The Mo Dewji Foundation is healthcare: Strengthening the capacity of Tanzania’s health systems. Since 2019, the Foundation has partnered with the Neonatal Ward for its focus on empowering women and children. The Mo Dewji Foundation has also partnered with Tumaini La Maisha, the largest Children’s Cancer Center in Tanzania, since 2013.
In celebration of the Mo Dewji Foundation’s four-year streak of enhancing Neonatal Care in Tanzania, the Mo Dewji Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to the hardworking caregivers, doctors and nurses at Muhimbili National Hospital.
