Dar es Salaam. Tanzanian executive Milu Kipimo has been appointed country manager for Bolt Business in South Africa, marking another step in his rising career within the global mobility company.
Previously senior country manager overseeing Bolt operations in Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana, Mr Kipimo brings more than five years of business leadership experience. His career has included senior roles in the mass media and fast-moving consumer goods sectors, where he managed both local and international projects.
In his new position, he will be responsible for driving business development and team growth in South Africa, ensuring that customers benefit from the flexibility, account management, and enhanced experience that Bolt Business offers as an alternative to traditional corporate travel, according to a statement issued yesterday.
“We are thrilled to have Milu join Bolt Business to lead our operations in South Africa,” said regional director at Bolt Business, Mr Juliano Fatio.
“His extensive experience across Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana will be invaluable as we scale in South Africa and strengthen our approach in the region. His appointment also reflects our long-term commitment to supporting business customers in Southern Africa,” he said.
Mr Kipimo expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, saying: “I’m honoured to join Bolt Business in South Africa. I look forward to applying my experience from East and North Africa to support ambitious growth targets while maintaining the high-quality service that our customers expect.”
Launched in 2018, Bolt Business is designed to simplify business travel by allowing companies to manage employee transport through the Bolt app.
The service streamlines everything from daily commutes to business events, reducing paperwork and reimbursement processes.
Bolt Business is now available in more than 50 markets worldwide, with over 50,000 companies using the service as of December 2024.
