Rita Paulsen launches TV show

Speaking at a news conference on Friday, the founder of Benchmark and host of the Rita Paulsen Show said it is a family show that is unique and packaged to international quality standards with well researched content that is creatively and meticulously presented to engage the viewer.


She is credited with one of the most successful talent search Bongo Star Search show and now a television show which she has named the Rita Paulsen Show.

The show that premiers this Sunday on Azam Two, is a collaboration between BenchMark Production and Azam TV.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday, the founder of Benchmark and host of the Rita Paulsen Show said it is a family show that is unique and packaged to international quality standards with well researched content that is creatively and meticulously presented to engage the viewer.

“The journey to get here hasn’t been easy and without a fair share of trials. It is a prized BenchMark brainchild that has been simmering since 2007 waiting for the right platform to showcase its powerful content,” she said.

She added that the overall objective of the show is to enlighten entertain inspire and enhance people’s quality of life.

“It is a feel-good show that that offers the platform to celebrate humanity. The show delves into the lives of ordinary and extraordinary people giving the invited guests the avenue to share and educate the audience about their struggles and successes,” said Rita.

Addressing journalists at the launch Azam’s deputy CEO Tido Mhando said the show had come at a perfect moment to meet the demand of their audiences over family oriented content which entertain and educate.

“The Rita Paulsen Show tackles real life stories of real people. The stories could be sad, moving, inspirational, motivating or entertaining. It will put you in the shoes of those who have had to make very tough choices in life,” said Tido Mhando.

The 45-minute show has three segments and the first season will feature 13 episodes.
