Mbeya. Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema) youth wing (Bavicha) has supported the party’s central committee decision to strip some of its top leaders of their posts.

Addressing a public rally in Mbeya recently, Bavicha chairman John Heche said individual leaders and members who sabotage the party will not be tolerated.

According to him Chadema will not hesitate to make tough decisions to expel dishonest members and leaders in a bid to protect and strengthen the party.

“Chadema will continue to take a disciplinary action against any other leaders who will be sabotaging the party,” he added.

Mr Heche said Chadema was not built around individuals, but around ideology and policies which make it a strong opposition party.

“Chadema was not built around individual members. Therefore, even if the party’s chairman Freeman Mbowe, or secretary general Wilbroad Slaa deviate from its fundamentals, they will also be disciplined,” Heche told Chadema supporters.

Recently, Kigoma North MP Zitto Kabwe, and two other members, were recently stripped of their leadership posts.
