The late Anathe Msuya was found dead with her throat slit in her home in Dar es Salaam.

The controversial murder case of Arusha businessman, Erasto Msuya and arrest of his widow, Miriam Mrita, for her alleged role in the killing of the late Msuya’s sister, Anathe Msuya, has taken a new twist after it was established that an inheritance row might be the centre of the killings.
Anethe was killed in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam on May 26 this year while her brother was shot dead in Arusha on August 7, 2013.
Late Msuya, a renowned businessmen in Arusha, was a tanzanite dealer in Mererani. He owned a tanzanite mine, was an avid collector of cars , real estate as well as owned a hotel, SG Resort in Arusha.

Since Mr Msuya was killed, his sister, Aneth was also murdered, and relative, Ester Msuya and her husband, Samuel Charles, were injured after unidentified people shot at them in front of Hongera bar in Kijitonyama, Dar es Salaam. Furthermore, another relative, Antuja Msuya, was injured after an acid attack in Arusha.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a relative noted that suspicious movements by the widow have made them suspect her as the one who is being the spate of misfortunes which befall the Msuya family members.
