Professional boxer Mandonga secures ambassadorial deal

Dar es Salaam. Professional boxer Karim “Mtu Kazi” Mandonga, has been appointed the ambassador for Mr Discount Hyper and Supermarket Limited, as well as Relaxo.
Discount managing director Khalid Mbarak Salim has cited the exemplary discipline shown by Mandoga as being behind their decision to partner with him.
Mandonga’s good conduct in and outside the ring has garnered him a substantial following both nationally and internationally.
Salim expressed their satisfaction with Mandonga’s track record since he embarked on his professional boxing journey, where he has consistently worked towards becoming a prominent figure in his field.
He further mentioned that appointing Mandonga as the ambassador for their stores and products was a seamless decision, and they’ve entered into an unlimited contract with him. “Mandonga stands out as a model of discipline within the realm of professional boxing, and his substantial fan base has not only inspired us but also his performance in the sport. This is the reason behind our decision to sign an agreement with him to represent our brand,” said Salim.
Salim also disclosed that their future plans include expanding their brand ambassador programme. They are also seeking football players and runners to become brand ambassadors for their products.
“Beyond our commitment to supporting athletes, our primary objective is to encourage them to excel in their respective sports and maintain a high level of discipline,” added Salim. Mandonga expressed his gratitude to the company for extending the ambassadorship opportunity to him and pledged to uphold the terms of the agreement.

He also stressed the importance of boxers reflecting on their conduct in the sport, saying discipline can attract interest from various companies for ambassadorship deals, as demonstrated in his own case.
