Survivors of Ngara bomb blast in dire need of blood transfusion, doctor says

Ngara. The victims of a bomb explosion, which occurred at Kihinga Primary School, who are admitted to Rulenge Mission Hospital in Ngara District, are in dire need of blood transfusion.

Ngara district medical officer Revocatus Ndyekobora said the victims, who include 42 pupils and a teacher, needed at least 50 units of blood.

Dr Ndyekobora said students from Rulenge Secondary School had already donated 46 units of blood.

He added that a team of doctors from Kagera Referral Hospital had arrived to team up with their counterparts at the health facility.

Meanwhile, Kagera regional police commander Agustino Ulomi said the sixth pupil, who was mistakenly reported as dead yesterday, was still admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at the hospital.
