Dar es Salaam. Simba Sports Club head coach Roberto Oliveira Gonçalves do Carmo alias Robertinho has admitted facing a challenging task against Horoya AC of Guinea on Saturday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The two teams will meet in the African Champions League group C return leg that will kickoff at 7pm. In the first leg held in Conakry, Horoya AC won 1-0.

Speaking with The Citizen yesterday, Robertinho said the match is very important for them to win in order to qualify for the knockout stage of the competition.

Robertinho said even Horoya AC have the same mission and vision of registering victory in order to enter the next stage. Simba are now second in the group C table with six points and Horoya AC are third with four points.

Morocco’s Raja Club Athletic have already qualified for the knockout stage with the perfect record after winning four matches with 12 points, scoring 13 goals and conceding a single goal.

Robertinho said all his players are in good shape and ready to do their best in the encounter.

“It is not going to be an easy match as Horoya AC are a strong side, who also target victory to improve their chance in the group’s standings.

They are good and I admit that we are facing a tough test. We will be playing at the home ground with full support from our fans.

“Technically and tactically, I am ready to show our prowess as I am still sharpening my squad,” said Robertinho.

He said his players are doing fine in training and that during the match day, all technical matters will be ready.

“We won 3-0 over tough Mtibwa Sugar team in the Mainland Premier League game and before that we won 1-0 over Vipers.

“Fans have been expecting the best football and determination by their team,” he said. Meanwhile, Horoya AC are expected to arrive in the country tomorrow ahead of the match.
