Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has finally set the date on which Young Africans will hold their general election.
The decision has come a few days after the National Sports Council of Tanzania (NSC) issued a 72-day ultimatum for the Jangwani Street side to usher in new leaders.
TFF election committee chairman Aloyce Komba told reporters yesterday that Yanga must go to polls on June 5, stressing that the elections process has to start on May 3.
“The committee has resolved that June 5 be the day of elections while the elections process must start on May 3, which means that Yanga have a week before embarking on the process of electing new office bearers,” he said.
However, the TFF election committee fell short of revealing which kind of club’s constitution will guide the election process.
