Mirambo brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having contributed to Tanzanian football as a player, coach, and administrator over many years.

He began his playing career with Pallsons FC in Arusha before transitioning into coaching, where his reputation grew significantly.

He first gained widespread recognition while leading Makongo Secondary School’s football team, a renowned breeding ground for young talent in the country.

His coaching career progressed further when he joined TFF’s youth development programs. Over time, he rose to the position of Assistant Coach and later Head Coach of Tanzania’s under-17 national team, the ‘Serengeti Boys.’

Under his leadership, the team competed in the African Under-17 Cup of Nations (AFCON U17), reaching the group stage and gaining invaluable international experience.

In 2021, Mirambo was appointed TFF Technical Director, a role he continues to hold. Beyond his domestic contributions, he is recognized internationally as a certified coach by both FIFA and CAF and holds a UEFA advanced coaching license, reflecting his expertise and commitment to football development.

Last month, he was also appointed as a Technical Officer for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), a prestigious tournament for domestic league players.

The departure of Kidao marks the end of an eight-year tenure as Secretary General, a position he held since August 2017. Prior to this role, he served as Chairman of the Tanzania Football Coaches Association (TAFCA), contributing significantly to the growth and organization of coaching standards in the country.

With Mirambo’s appointment, TFF aims to continue strengthening its technical and administrative leadership, leveraging his extensive experience to further the development of football across Tanzania
