Dar es Salaam. Coaches from the renowned Spanish sports institution, Nastic Sports Academy, have expressed their admiration for the young talents nurtured at the One Tanzanite Football Academy.
The visiting coaches—Pablo Bartual, Carlos Guillen, and Xavier Beranuy—conducted a two-day training camp at the Hopac grounds in Dar es Salaam. The camp featured more than 90 aspiring footballers.
Speaking after the sessions, Bartual said they were impressed by the skill level and dedication of the young players, emphasizing that with continued effort, some could become key figures in Tanzanian football—and even on the global stage.
“For both days, we were busy and happy working with these talented players. They have great potential, not only for club football but also for national teams, if they maintain their commitment and discipline,” Bartual noted.
He also praised the leadership of the One Tanzanite Academy for their vision and efforts in uplifting the community through sports.
“We are truly happy to be here, training with these young players and observing how local coaches apply training methodologies. This was one of the best camps we've held. The youth showed immense potential and passion for the game. What they need now is support to reach their goals,” he said.
Bartual added that Nastic Sports Academy operates in over 54 countries and is eager to continue its collaboration with the One Tanzanite Football Academy.
“Our goal is to promote high standards in sports, with a strong emphasis on education as well. Apart from football, we also offer programs in basketball, swimming, sailing, and more. Our academy is one of the largest in Spain,” he explained.
On his part, One Tanzanite coach Hansi Erasto expressed his gratitude to the Nastic Sports Academy for organizing the camp and giving their players valuable exposure.
“Our players thoroughly enjoyed the training sessions and have been inspired to strive harder to achieve their dreams,” said Hansi. “I thank the management of One Tanzanite Football Academy for organizing this initiative. It aligns with our goal of achieving top-tier development for our athletes.”
Hansi also encouraged parents to continue supporting their children, noting the academy’s strong commitment to nurturing young talent.
One Tanzanite Football Academy Managing Director, Agapiti Manday, also praised the visiting coaches for their outstanding training and welcomed them to return for future camps.
“We will continue organizing such camps to provide our players with exposure and learning opportunities,” said Manday. “We thank the government of President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her unwavering support of sports development. Her involvement has greatly motivated our youth.”
He also expressed gratitude to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) for donating 50 footballs used during the training sessions.
Manday further explained that One Tanzanite Football Academy was established with the vision of creating a structured and professional environment for young footballers in Tanzania. The academy seeks to develop the next generation of stars capable of competing on both national and international platforms.
