Geita. Stanbic Bank Tanzania has unveiled a new suite of financial products aimed at empowering mining employees in Geita, offering them tools to build wealth, own homes, and secure their futures.
The announcement was made during a special engagement session with mining professionals in Geita on Friday, where the bank introduced mortgage, loan, savings, and investment packages designed to address the unique needs of workers in the mining sector.
“Geita is more than a mining hub, it is a community of ambitious individuals whose efforts keep Tanzania’s economy moving,” said Emmanuel Mahodanga, Head of Personal Banking at Stanbic Bank Tanzania. “At Stanbic, we believe these men and women deserve access to financial solutions that match their ambition. Whether it’s owning a home, building wealth, or securing their family’s future, we are here to make those aspirations a reality.”
Among the highlights of the package are long-term mortgage facilities of up to Sh1.2 billion, with repayment periods stretching to 20 years—offering mining employees a new path to home ownership. The bank also announced straight purchase loans covering up to 90% of property value and flexible mortgage takeover options.
For employees seeking to enhance productivity and livelihoods, Stanbic is also extending vehicle and asset financing, covering everything from cars and buses to specialized mining equipment such as excavators and drilling rigs.
“Mining employees deserve the tools that make their lives easier and their work more productive. With flexible repayment options, we make that possible,” said Herry Magava, Manager of Vehicle and Asset Finance at Stanbic Bank.
Beyond lending, the bank unveiled construction loans, savings and investment products, and credit life insurance, ensuring that clients not only grow their wealth but also protect their families against unforeseen challenges.
The initiative forms part of Stanbic Bank’s 30-year journey in Tanzania, under the theme “Tanzania Mabegani – Miaka 30 ya Kukua Pamoja.”
“Our purpose is clear: we are here to drive Tanzania’s growth by empowering her people. Mining employees in Geita are key to that growth, and we are proud to walk this journey with them, enabling them to dream bigger and achieve more,” Mahodanga said.
