Yanga beat Mbeya City, Simba held

Dar es Salaam. Young Africans have continued to shine in the ongoing Tanzania Mainland premier league after beating Mbeya City 3-0 at the National Stadium.

The victory made Young Africans to continue leading the league standing after collecting 33 points from 13 matches they have played. Young Africans dominated from the first whistle and missed several clear chances.

Young Africans started the match with a bang and overshadowed Mbeya City in all sections.

The Mbeya region team used defensive technique to stop Young Africans strikers, led by Amissi Tambwe, Donald Ngoma and Saimon Msuva, who missed many chances.

Experienced goalkeeper Juma Kaseja made tremendous save in the 19th following well taken cross from Deus Kaseke before Thabani Kamusoko missing clear chance after his shot was saved by Kaseja in the 24th minute.

Young Africans celebrated their first goal in the 36th through Amissi Tambwe who received well a good cross from Msuva who cooperated well with Juma Abdul.

Tambwe also scored the second goal in the 65th following good cross from Haji Mwinyi Mngwali. The goal made Burundian international to lead the scoring chart with 10 goals and beat Elias Maguri of Stand United who has scored nine so far.

Mbeya City seemed to be confused and allow Young Africans to score the third goal in the 66th through Thabani Kamusoko after he was made clear by Tambwe.

In Shinyanga, Mwadui Sports Club failed to utilise well their home ground after a 1-1 draw against Simba Sports club. Mwadui FC scored their goal through Nizar Khalfan in the 77th following corner kick from Malika Ndeule.

Simba SC equalized in the 85th through Brian Majwega following good cross from Mwinyi Kazimoto. The match saw Simba Sports club missing many clear chances in the first half.

Ugandan, international, Hamis Kiiza failed to utilise many clear chances in the match.

The team’s head coach, Dylan Kerr substituted Kiiza to Raphael Kiongera who failed to show his prowess in the encounter.

Other matches saw Stand United beating Coastal Union 3-1 at Mkwakwani Stadium.

Stand united goals scored by Haruna Chanongo, Hassan Banda na Frank Hamis. Coastal Union consolation goal through Chidiebele Abasirim via penalty.

Also JKT Ruvu won 3-1 against Ndanda FC at Nangwanda Sijaona Stadium while Mtibwa Sugar won 3-0 against Mgambo Shooting at Manungu grounds in Turiani, Morogoro.
